Pedigree

Potter was bred by Edna Woods of Sandyne Kennels and sired by UK. Ch. Tartarian's Gold Dust, owned by Linda Carnaby. I thought my chances of bringing him to the US were slim due to the consensus of Edna, Linda, Rick and several other UK breeders who felt he would fair well in England and needed to stay put. Imagine my excitement when I learned that Edna intended to let Potter come to Global Boxers. I co-own Potter with the Walker family in Washington state and and they share my adoration of Potter.

Below are a few words from the Walker family about Potter:
My love of the Boxer breed is also mixed with heartache. Our first two Boxers were both stricken with health problems and their time with us was far too short, but I spent enough time with them to develop a life long love of the breed.

I can't imagine my life without a boxer. After saying goodbye to our second boxer in less than three years, I felt like giving up any hope of finding a healthy boxer. I began to research more of the breed's health issues and found that Kti at Global Boxers had experienced the same losses that I had. We enlisted Kti's help in finding a boxer for us. Little did we know how close we were to our dream…the gift of Potter.

We were somewhat skeptical of how four-month-old Potter would adjust after always getting pups at 8 weeks. When we picked him up at the airport, he was quiet and watchful. He walked out of his crate and went straight to our car. He looked up as if to say, "All right let's get out of here and go home!" Potter jumped into my lap, laid down and put his head on my husband's hand. He then let out a huge sigh of relief and immediately was snoring away. I looked at my husband and both of our hearts melted and all our fears vanished.

Potter has taken our love of Boxers to a new level. He is affectionate and easy going. He loves to play fetch, chase laser lights, attack his toys, and splash up and down the beach. He looks good and he knows it. He never turns down a ride in the car and his favorite place is our thirty acre dog park where he has many friends and will run for hours saying, "Hello." He is currently doing obedience and is so attentive and way too smart! He anticipates every move so I am challenged to keep him from guessing my next command without getting bored with the repetition.

We have completely fallen in love with Potter and can't thank Kti enough for sending us such a treasured gift.
